What is the Driving Forces Report?

We all know that when it comes to accomplishing any task, we need to be motivated in order to move forward. Sometimes we set ‘rewards’ at certain stages along the way to ‘motivate’ ourselves or others to drive performance. But is this the best approach? How aligned are these ‘rewards’ to the individual motivators that drive us? The key thing to recognise is that our motivators stem directly from our core values and what is important to us as an individual. 

Similar to the DISC assessment, the Driving Forces report provides us with a model that quantifies our core values and measures our individual motivators in 6 categories:

  • Theoretical
  • Utilitarian
  • Aesthetic
  • Social
  • Individual
  • Traditional

It then splits each category further to see which side you lean more towards. As an example, n the case of ‘Theoretical’ – Are you driven more by ‘Intellectual’ motivation (Thirst for knowledge) or an ‘Instinctive’ motivation (Using your intuition based on the situation) Below is a visual example of an individual’s Driving Forces displayed in the report:
